Intro Video
This quick start guide covers most of the day to day tasks that you will need to know when using this tool to track your students. If you'd like to watch a video overview you can click the video below. Otherwise, please scroll down the page for written instructions and image examples.
Logging into SRS

To start, please check your email to find the link that we send out for new accounts (it will be sent from [email protected]). Inside, you will find a link that you will need to use to create your password to access the SRS. After this has been completed, please navigate to records.Bibleschools.com and click "Sign In".

Enter your desired password and click "Reset password".
Note: it must meet the following requirements:
- At least 10 characters
- At least 3 of the following:
- Lower case letters (a-z)
- Upper case letters (a-z)
- Numbers (0-9)
- Special character (e.g. !@#$%^&*)
- No more than 2 identical characters in a row

Click "Back to SRS New"

Please re-enter your email address.

Please re-enter your password.

Next you'll setup a secondary method to receive a code that validates your identity (multi-factor authentication). For most cases, we recommend choosing the Phone option here, as that will allow you to choose to receive your code via a text message or a phone call (if you don't have a cellular phone).

Enter your number (the number that the call or text will be sent to), choose to receive it via text or voice call and click "Continue".

Enter the six digit code that was sent.

The recovery code will allow you to login to your account if you are unable to retrieve the six digit code. You may copy/paste this into a file and save it in a spot you'll remember.
Then check the box that says that you've "...safely recorded this code" and click on "Continue".

The next screen will ask if you'd like to create a passkey for this device. A passkey is an alternative to a password but if you're not familiar with this already, we recommend clicking on the option at the bottom "Continue without passkeys" as it is the simpler option.
Basic navigation and the dashboard

Upon logging in, you will be presented with your Dashboard. This will provide at-a-glance information about the following:
- Students needing follow-up
- Available courses and number of students enrolled in each
- Past seminars and students enrolled in each
- Instructors and students assigned to them
Note: you may click on either a student's name, course, or instructor to see more information.

At the upper-left of the screen, you will see a circular button with a plus "+" symbol. This is outlined in a red box for illustration purposes.

Clicking the plus button will open a menu as shown in the image above. This is the easiest place to start when adding students or adding/updating a student's information, such as:
- Updating details on when lessons were sent/received and visits made
- Adding notes, decisions, and products
- Adding new students or instructors to the school
- Creating a seminar (if applicable)
Accessing and updating your students

If you need to update information for a student, we recommend using the plus button above. Alternatively, you may see all your students by clicking the "Students" button.

Outlined in red, you can see the clickable fields on this page. For any student, you may click on the name, enrollment, instructor, or school. You can always return to this page by clicking the Students button.

Let's show an example. I can see that Caleb Stuart in enrolled in Discover and I'd like to see more information about him. For that, I will click on the enrollment, Discover.

This leads us to the student information section. Here you can update lessons, add notes and prayer requests, and more. All changes on this page are automatically saved (but elsewhere, changes may need to be saved using the update button).

To see the student's contact information, click on "Profile".

Here, you can view and update contact, location, and other details for this student. Be sure to click the Update Student button at the bottom-left of the page to save any changes. Otherwise, changes will be lost.
We will cover more of these sections, in-depth in other articles of this website, but we hope this was enough to get you started navigating the redesigned SRS!
Blessings!
